Water Technology Magazine Reports New Test Kit The Hanna Instruments' HI 3812 is a compact
and portable chemical test kit for testing water hardness. A complexiometric
method, the kit uses an EDTA titration to determine hardness levels as mg/L
calcium carbonate. Hardness levels are measured in a range from 0 to 30
mg/L (ppm). The ready-to-use kit includes 30-mL and 100-mL calibrated vessels with
ported caps, reagents, a graduated syringe with pipette tip and instructions.

Water Technology Magazine Reports New Peristaltic Pump Flexflo Peristaltic Injector, distributed by Mullarkey Associates, the new FLEXFLO A-100N peristaltic injector manufactured by Blue-White has quality features including extended tube life; higher-pressure capability; self-priming, even against line pressure; advanced cooling system; all ball-bearing gear motor; and true weather-resistance for outdoor installation. | The dosages and other details for the regular strength products appear similar, one can compare the prices directly. Buying Microcat XNL will cost you approximately 30% more than buying Alken CF 7110.. When it comes to the concentrate, Microcat XNC is claimed to be a 15x concentrate, but is applied at a rate of 0.1 to 0.2 of the dosage for the regular strength. Both concentrates must be refrigerated. Price per gallon of the Alken-Murray CF 7110 - 50x is a little over twice as expensive as the Microcat XNC, however, since the Alken-Murray product is more than 3 times the strength of the XNC, the adjusted cost per dose of the XNC is fourteen times as much as CF 7110-50x. |
