| Federal Steps to Reduce Oil Prices
Could Harm the Economy Federal action to reduce oil prices in the U.S., either by rolling back the federal gasoline tax or tapping the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, "would bring little benefit to consumers and (could) do much to harm the economy," according to a new paper by Resources for the Future (RFF) scholar John Anderson. This winter's price hike, which came less than a year after oil dropped to its lowest price in a generation, underscores the inherent unpredictability of the world oil market, but it came nowhere close to threatening the U.S. economy, Anderson said. | Two Custom Blends Are Officially
Named Newly named Alken Clear-Flo 7037, diesel degrading blend, and Alken Clear-Flo 7038, gasoline degrading blend, have been added to our publicly available consortium of products. These two specialized blends are specifically designed to handle ground spills from storage tanks at automotive service centers and truck stops. Highly specialized formulas, like these, provide an advantage when the target waste is highly concentrated and there are no other contaminants that require concurrent treatment. Under such conditions, the use of a targeted product will lower the dosage necessary for remediation to occur. Please note that if there are other contaminants creating toxicity, you may be able to use Alken 874 Surface Cleaner to reduce the toxicity, before treating with these two blends. |
| Enz-Odor 26 No Longer Sold For H2S Remediation Our products Alken Nu-Bind, Alken Enz-Odor 2, and Alken Enz-Odor 6 have all eclipsed the performance of these two dry products, particularly after we removed the Pseudomonas aeruginosa, purple sulfur strain, that targeted hydrogen sulfide, but presented unacceptable health risks. |
