Frequent Polymer Question We are often asked how to select the right polymer charge. If you wish to float the floc, use a cationic polymer. If you wish to precipitate the floc, use an anionic polymer. The charge of the particles you are trying to bind will also influence your selection. Bench testing will answer additional questions about dosage. |
New Formula for Alken Even-Flo
910E Is Ready Check with Valerie for updated Specification sheets and MSDS. The new transparent, pale straw to yellow formula will retain its environmental friendliness and performance characteristics which made the products famous. |
Dosage Adjustment for EF 905
in Crude Pipelines and Storage Tanks When large quantities are flowing through a storage tank or pipeline, the dosage may be decreased as follows: 42 gallons of regular strength per 10,000 barrels, to dissolve and prevent sludge formation. EF 905 2x and 3x are currently not stable. We are working on this problem now. |
Dosage Adjustment for EF 910
in Refinery Diesel Storage Tanks The 2x strength can be dosed at 1 gal. per 20,000 gallons, if high volumes pass through the tanks, while the normal dose for a storage tank that is filled once a month is 1 gal. to 10,000 - 14,000 gallons. An improved product should be available by mid to late July. |
New Formula of Alken 860 Demulsifier

Revised Alken Nu-Bind Application Instructions, incl. Waste
Treatment Now easily figure dosages for application to lagoons, lift stations and industrial/municipal waste treatment systems. Alken Nu-Bind is superior for treating hydrogen sulfide odors, but does not handle mercaptans well. |
New Product - Alken Nu-Bind 2 Since the original product was less successful with controlling MERCAPTAN odors, we now offer this new product for mercaptan odors. NB2 is also capable of handling lower levels of hydrogen sulfide |
Website Product Bulletins Added We have added the following product bulletins and MSDS to the web this month: CF 7005, 7006, 7008, 7015, & 7018. Links from the Dry bacterial product index. Always check for other updates. As Ken is fond of saying, "Just when you think you know where its at, Valerie moves it." |
