| EF 910 and 905 Revised - Now Even
Better This newsletter was delayed because extensive testing continued in R & D to make the new formulas even BETTER than the old formulas, rather than merely equal. Alken Even-Flo 905 now dissolves sludge so fast it appears magical. The flash point is in the high range of "combustible" and the density is lower than the old formula, reducing shipping costs. Sample requests are now being filled. The only characteristic that we are not totally pleased with in the new EF 910 is the flashpoint, which is 148, just above the minimum acceptable for sample shipments via UPS. We will continue testing alternatives, but at least these formulas perform equal to or better than the old ones. These products are saleable now, although we will seek solutions to the flash point issue for EF 910 in the future. Please accept our apologies for the delay. We had no idea how difficult it would be to duplicate a discontinued ingredient. This experience has taught us a great appreciation for the original inventors of Alken Even-Flo, Mr. Kenneth J. Edwards, Sr. and Mr. Len Boyer, both deceased |
| Alken Clear-Flo 4100 - Improved Double the count for a slight increase in the price. Our foreign clients require the highest concentrations possible, so we have improved this product to meet their specifications. If you wish to continue selling the diluted product, just mix 50-50 with distilled water and repackage for your clients, otherwise apply ½ as much product as before. |
| New Products Alken Nu-Bind 2 binds mercaptans and Alken Nu-Bind 3 binds ammonia, in situations not amenable to treatment with nitrifiers. Original Alken Nu-Bind is still the best hydrogen sulfide odor binder we have found. All three of these products contain our original bacterial spore set used in Alken Enz-Odor, original blend. |
