ALKEN® TREATMENT 63 is a blend of selected phosphates which react to precipitate the calcium hardness in the boiler as a sludge and prevent calcium carbonate, sulfate and/or silica deposits. This formula contains silica to assure precipitation of magnesium as a fluid sludge. The finely divided non-adherent calcium phosphate and magnesium silicate sludge remains suspended in the boiler water until removed via the blowdown. ALKEN® TREATMENT 63 contains the best and most highly concentrated phosphates to assure maximum results with a minimum of treatment. |

ALKEN® TREATMENT 63 dosages depend upon many factors including the chemical characteristics of the makeup water, boiler operations, percentage of condensate return, etc. Approximate requirements can be estimated as ¾ pound of treatment per pound of hardness entering the boiler. Individual dosage recommendations are made for each installation by your ALKEN® representative, based on his survey. Dosage is controlled by a simple color comparison test. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT 63 is compatible with most boiler water chemicals and can be blended with them in the treatment feed tank. ALKEN® TREATMENT 63 may be fed in a number of ways depending upon the makeup water characteristics and the boiler operations.
