ALKEN® SCALOFF 463 c is a unique boiler water conditioner for the prevention of calcium and magnesium scale, oxygen pitting, and general corrosion in steam boilers that operate where feedwater is heated and make-up of moderate hardness is less than forty percent. ALKEN® SCALOFF 463 contains an effective combination of organic dispersants and sludge conditioners, phosphates, oxygen scavengers, and alkalinity builders. |

Approximate treatment requirement for ALKEN® SCALOFF 463 can be estimated by multiplying the pounds of hardness entering the boiler by a factor of twenty. Dosage is normally controlled by means of a phosphate test on the boiler water. Testing equipment is available from Alken-Murray. |
ALKEN® SCALOFF 463 should be fed by a chemical metering pump directly into the boiler. Rate of feed should be in proportion to the feedwater. |
