ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628 is a blend of a filming amine with two neutralizing amines of low and medium-high distribution ratios. The filming amine is an ethoxylated soya amine, which does not exhibit the undesirable characteristics associated with octadecylamine. |
|
When used to protect a steam system, ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628 may be added separately to the deaerator storage section, feedwater tank, feedwater line, or directly to the boiler with other boiler treatment chemicals. When used to protect equipment in a vapor-phase process, or in a flue gas system, ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628 should be injected continuously into the gas stream and/or the wash water (if used). |
The required dosage of ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628, when used as a steam/condensate corrosion inhibitor, can be estimated at 10-15 ppm in the steam. The required dosage of ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628, when used as vapor-phase process corrosion inhibitor, can be estimated at 25-50 ppm in the vapor. This initial estimate may have to be adjusted upward or downward by to a considerable extent depending on the nature of the process. The required dosage of ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628, when used as a flue-gas corrosion inhibitor, can be estimated at 1 gallon per 750,000 cu. ft. of natural gas burned. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT F-628 is shipped in containers complying with Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications. Consult the current Material Safety Data Sheet for storage and handling precautions. 08-2002 |
