ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 is a blend containing a volatile amine of a low distribution ratio, specially formulated to inhibit condensate corrosion caused by carbon dioxide. The product is suited for systems which include short to medium-length steam systems in medium to high pressure ranges. |
|
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 requirements are in direct proportion to the amount of carbon dioxide entering the condensate system for maintaining condensate slightly alkaline. The adjusted condensate pH while using ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 should be between 7.5 and 8.2. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 may be added separately to the deaerator storage section, feedwater tank, feedwater line, or directly to the boiler with other boiler treatment chemicals. |
When handling, avoid skin and eye contact, and avoid breathing vapor. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for complete handling and storage precautions. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 is shipped in containers conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications, in plastic pails in the following sizes: 5 gallon pail (40 lbs.), 15 gallon drum (125 lbs.), 30 gallon drum (250 lbs.) and 55 gallon drum (450 lbs. net). |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-670 complies with FDA 21 CFR 184.1139 regulations for boiler water additives used in preparation of steam that will contact food and was authorized by USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants, category "G6", "for use as a boiler water additive, used in the preparation of steam that WILL contact food".
