ALKEN® DRSD 887 is an effectively inhibited dry acid blend with corrosion inhibitors and wetting agents designed for cleaning galvanized heat transfer surfaces in cooling towers. ALKEN® DRSD 887 can be used to clean a cooling water system while in operation. ALKEN® DRSD 887 incorporates patented inhibition technology, for a high degree of electrolytically restrained action to the attack by acids on base steel, while ensuring high efficiency descaling, rinsability and fume reduction. |

The dosage of ALKEN® DRSD 887 performs optimally when heated to 95 F or above. For cleaning, maintain a solution of 40 to 80 lbs of ALKEN® DRSD 887 per 100 gallons of water in the system. To measure pH, boiling point and freezing point, the most common dilution of 9% (0.8 lbs. ALKEN® DRSD 887 added to 1 gallon cool water) used for system cleaning was used. If oil and grease deposits are also detected, pre-clean the system with ALKEN® CW 883 for optimum system performance. |
