ALKEN® TREATMENT J-677 is a blend of two volatile amines of medium and high distribution ratios, specially formulated to inhibit condensate corrosion caused by oxygen and carbon dioxide. One ingredient is an oxygen scavenger and the other neutralizes the acid formed by carbon dioxide in the water. The product is suited for complex systems which include medium to long and/or branched steam systems in any pressure range. |
|
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-674 requirements are in direct proportion to the amount of carbon dioxide entering the condensate system for maintaining condensate slightly alkaline. The adjusted condensate pH while using ALKEN® TREATMENT J-674 should be between 7.5 and 8.2. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-674 may be added separately to the deaerator storage section, feedwater tank, feedwater line, or directly to the boiler, along with other boiler treatment chemicals. |
When handling, avoid skin and eye contact, and avoid breathing vapor. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for complete handling and storage precautions. |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-674 is shipped in containers conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications, in plastic pails in the following sizes: 5 gallon pail (40 lbs.), 15 gallon drum (125 lbs.), 30 gallon drum (250 lbs.) and 55 gallon drum (450 lbs. net). |
ALKEN® TREATMENT J-674 complies with FDA 21 CFR 184.1139 regulations for boiler water additives used in preparation of steam that will contact food and was authorized by USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants, category "G6", "for use as a boiler water additive, used in the preparation of steam that WILL contact food".
