DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN® HSN-827 is a liquid corrosion inhibitor specially formulated for use in food canning retort water systems and the recirculating cooling water used in the manufacture of steel ingots. Nitrites and molybdates protect equipment and cans from corrosion, while an anionic surfactant helps prevent spotting of the cans.

DOSAGE and FEEDING:

ALKEN® HSN-827 should be added to the retort water at the rate of one gallon of treatment for each 250 gallons of water in the system. A proportioning feed pump is desirable to maintain adequate treatment reserves at all times. As a recirculating cooling wash for hot steel ingots, add 10 gallons of HSN-827 to each 1,000 gallons of water. Add as necessary to maintain 300 ppm of molybdenum.

ALKEN® HSN-827 is shipped in containers conforming to Performance Oriented Packaging Specifications. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for precautions to be observed in handling and storage.
