See for general application rates (use chart for CF 1003 - 1008. Your Alken-Murray service representative will prescribe both the initial application and the weekly maintenance doses, taking into consideration such factors as the size of the particular water body, total weekly inflow and outflow, amount of shade vs. sun, fish and fowl loadings, and levels of pesticides or other contaminants. Be aware that a heavy rainfall may bring significant contamination with its runoff, and a one-time dosage equal to the initial application may be needed to restore control. Mechanical aeration may be needed where natural aeration is deficient. For optimum bacterial performance, hydrate ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1003 before application in the evening. Thoroughly mix each pound of dry product with two gallons of warm (approx.70 F) water from the water body to be treated. Allow the mixture to hydrate for one hour, stirring vigorously every half hour. After final settling, pour entire mixture into pond, including residual bran and dolomitic limestone. Avoid use of algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using ALKEN CLEAR-FLO®. |
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1003 is packaged in 25 and 50 pound containers. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or open wounds and wash hands with warm, soapy water after handling.
