WATER TREATMENT, FEED FOR ARTEMIA, WATER TREATMENT FOR HYDROPONICS, BIOFILTER SEED CULTURE

**DESCRIPTION:**
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007 is concentrated, dry, broad spectrum blend of three gram-positive, spore-forming Bacillus and three gram-negative, vegetative strains of bacteria, designed to rapidly seed aquatic biofilters with beneficial organisms which will combat the most common problems associated with high nutrient levels — murky water, fish suffocation, algae proliferation, and off-flavors. Alken-Murray has maintained this formula without alteration because it has been proven safe as a water treatment and feed for Artemia and for water cleaning and odor control in hydroponics (growing plants in water), assisting plants to better utilize fertilizer.2005 Improved, higher Bacillus balance. Canadian DSL listed ingredients.

**FEATURES AND BENEFITS:**
Seeding bio-filter with a dry product ensures a more localized bacterial release. General purpose, proven formulation since the 1980's for ponds and aquaculture. Reduces turbidity and sludge build-up.(although not specialized like CF 1005 & 1006) Reduces off-flavors. Keeps water clean and odor-free for hydroponics. Each batch is tested and certified non-pathogenic. Proven safe water cleaner and feed for Artemia. Non-toxic cultures grow well in low levels or even absence of oxygen. Effective over a wide pH range (5.5 to 9.0) and a wide temperature range (50 deg.F to 140 deg. F).

**DIRECTIONS FOR USE:**
For Initial Seeding of a Sand Media Biological Filter: 1) Oxygenate the water and clear any residual chlorine by allowing the fresh water to circultate for four hours. 2) Add enough Roti-Rich nutrient to slightly cloud the water. 3) Thoroughly mix 8 oz. of ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007 dry culture into the sand media and reintroduce the filter to the tank. Wait for the water to clear, usually within 12 to 18 hours, before adding new stock to the system. Observe the usual best practices of equalizing the temperature between the tank and the plastic bags holding the new occupants. Maintain water quality with a weekly booster of 0.6 ppm of ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007. Mechanical aeration will increase the rate of bioactivation. If the tank water is circulated past ozone for disinfection, the treated water will not harm the ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007 culture growing in the sand filter. Avoid use of algaecides and herbicides when using ALKEN CLEAR-FLO®. If it becomes necessary to apply antibiotics to treat fish disease, the filter must be reseeded with ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007 after all antibiotic has cleared from the system. **PACKAGING AND HANDLING:**
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1007 is packaged in 25-, 50-, and 500-pound containers. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or open wounds and wash hands with warm, soapy water after handling. Update 06-01-2005
