WASTE DEGRADER AND PROBIOTIC FOR LAKES & PONDS
DESCRIPTION:
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1200 is a specially designed
synergistic combination of bacteria for degrading organics rapidly and two
species of nitrifying bacteria to remove ammonia, which can be harmful to
fish at low levels. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1200 is ideal for combating common
problems caused by high nutrient levels in lakes, ponds and decorative fountains
-- murky water, fish suffocation and foul odors. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1200
also degrades nominal contamination levels by pesticides and other synthetic
organic contaminants. It is ideal for seeding biological filters.

for general application rates. Your Alken-Murray
service representative will prescribe both the initial application and the
weekly maintenance doses and product supplementation, taking into consideration
such factors as the size of the particular waterbody, total weekly inflow
and outflow, amount of shade vs. sun, fish and fowl loadings, and level
of pesticides or other contaminants. Be aware that a heavy rainfall may
bring significant contamination with its runoff, and a one-time dosage equal
to the initial application may be needed to restore control. Mechanical
aeration may be needed where natural aeration is deficient. Nitrifiers consume
7.2 ppm of alkalinity for each ppm of ammonia oxidized to nitrate, so adjust
alkalinity if necessary to stay within that range. Avoid using algicides,
herbicides, and antibiotics when using any ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® product.
Supplement: Add one oz dry product/gal liquid
or 1 teaspoon of dry product/9 oz liquid product. When seeding a biofilter,
do not premix dry and liquid components. Apply the dry product directly
into the filter media.
PACKAGING AND HANDLING:
ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 1200 is packaged in 5
and 55-gallon plastic containers. Store in a cool place. Avoid contact with
eyes, skin, or open wounds and wash hands with warm, soapy water after handling.
