ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7050 is a specialized formula created to degrade "spent-phenolic caustic wastewater" and "wood preserving wastewater". ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7050 contains six spore forming Bacillus strains and twelve vegetative, gram-negative strains. For wastewater applications, it is wise to bench test this formula and our Alken Clear-Flo® 7037 to see which will work best for the specific plant. Alken Enz-Odor® 12 or 22 can be used in conjuncftion with this product to control odors generated during treatment. |

ALKEN® BIO-NUTRIENT 3, containing ammonium chloride and ammonium phosphate nutrients, in a 5:1 ratio, is designed to balance the high level of organic carbon present in the targeted wastewater. The strains in this formula degrade hydrocarbons aerobically, requiring at least 2 ppm of dissolved oxygen, with 3 to 5 ppm being ideal. Although ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7050 may be
measured out and applied directly, as dry, loose powder, we advise rehydration
of each pound of ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7050 in two gallons of warm (21 to
22 C / 70 F) for optimum bacterial performance, mixing bran-based powder
thoroughly with water every thirty minutes over two hours. Alternatively, use
an overhead stirrer to continuously mix bran powder and water for two hours,
then allow to settle for 15 minutes before decanting liquid into influent
section of wastewater system. Thoroughly stir settled bran into fresh wastewater
and dispense into system or discard. See Avoid use of algaecides, herbicides, and antibiotics when using any ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® product. Alken-Murray's authorized distributors can assist you with product selection and other treatments based on submission of the Wastewater Treatment Diagnostic Survey from the Alken-Murray Diagnostic Form Frame Set. |
