ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7014 is a unique product offering the synergy of eight
endo-spore forming, gram-positive Bacillus strains (which rapidly activate
to produce large quantities of protease, esterase, lipase, amylase, xylanase,
urease and cellulase enzymes) supported by raw cellulase and xylanase
enzymes, nutrients and micro-nutrients, to provide a safe, natural way
to accelerate the biodegradation of lawn waste, garden and park organics
(grass clippings, leaves, etc.) in central municipal composting sites and
homeowner's gardens. Recently improved with higher count, and four new
thermophilic bacterial strains. When used as directed in composting, ALKEN
CLEAR-FLO® 7014 will provide high yields of natural humus within 30
to 60 days, which may be used to stimulate plant growth, improve plant health,
color, stability and resistance to disease. The spore forming bacterial
strains in ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 7014 can survive, dormant, in the compost
through hot, dry weather and over the winter; reactivating whenever conditions
moderate, allowing the process to continue with minimal supplemental dosages. November 2006 Formula Compliant with Canadian DSL. Approved for sale in Canada. |

For Large-Site Composting, for each surface-acre, mix 2.5 or 3 pounds of ALKEN
CLEAR-FLO® 7014 with 500 to 600 gallons of water once a week. For maximum
decomposition speed, the compost should be tilled weekly when the temperature
reaches 140 F, for aeration, and should be kept moist (50-70% moisture
values) at all times. Above ground enclosures made of wooden slats
or wire screening will accelerate the speed of decomposition, by increasing
aeration. In-ground pits are less desirable, because they perform more
slowly. Avoid using herbicides when using this product. If compost waste
is mostly green-waste, add sufficient ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) to maintain
a carbon to nitrogen (C/N) ratio of 30 or less (bacteria consume 15-30
parts of carbon for each part of nitrogen, when digesting typical compost).
Supplementation with ammonium nitrate will not be necessary if the waste
includes a sufficient quantity of food and animal waste to balance high
carbon-low nitrogen waste, such as peanut hulls, wheat straw and sawdust. Alternative Calculation for Windrow Composting: apply 50 - 125 g/yd3 on days 1 and 8. For Application to Agricultural Fields After Harvest: Cut down and chop the leftover vegetation, spreading it in a thin layer over the entire field. Measure the carbon to nitrogen ratio and add ammonium nitrate sufficient to maintain a ratio of C/N of 30 or less. For each surface-acre, apply 2.5 pounds of Alken Clear-Flo 7014 with 500 gallons of water and 3 gallons of Alken Bio-Nutrient 9, our soil amendment humic extract, which will both decrease the time necessary to break down the vegetation, and make the nutrients more bioavailable to the plants grown on the next crop on the field. After three weeks, use a hay thrashing machine to turn the vegetation, and apply another dose of the mixture. Repeat in one month. If the climate is very dry, add sufficient water (preferably through irrigation) to maintain 50-70% moisture levels. You should be able to plant your next crop within 3 months after beginning treatment, and your crop should be healthier. For Home Use: Mix 1 to 2 ounces of ALKEN CLEAR-FLO 7014 with 1 gallon of warm water. Stir well and let stand for 30 minutes prior to applying to each layer of new clippings or leaves and wet the entire surface after application. If composter is very small, thoroughly mix the compost daily to promote faster breakdown, otherwise weekly turning and watering is sufficient. |
