Tests Comparing Degrading Efficiency In the Presence of Detergent

Quantitative Detergent Degradation Assay

Figure 2 demonstrates quantitatively the ability of Alken Clear-Flo 4000 to degrade laundry detergent. Identical flasks were set up, each containing 1200 ppm of Tide. The control flask was inoculated with typical septic sludge and the second flask was inoculated with CF 4000.

Results were compared after 4 days of incubation. The control flask showed no reduction of detergent while the CF 4000 flask demonstrated a 58% decrease in detergent concentration
