GREASE TRAP, INTERCEPTOR, SEPTIC SYSTEM LIQUID TREATMENT

DESCRIPTION:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100 is a liquid synergistic blend of selected, adapted bacterial cultures, designed to accelerate liquefaction and digestion of food Fats, Oils and Grease, also known as "FOG", along with secondary metabolite fatty acids and other foods. ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100 contains a mixture of six (6) strains of endospore-forming Bacillus and three (3) vegetative, gram-negative strains that can tolerate a higher temperature-range than our popular ALKEN ENZ-ODOR® 2, enabling application of a liquid treatment to dishwasher discharge water, via a metered peristaltic pump, dispensing ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100 between the dishwasher and the grease trap. Effectively treats grease traps from hotels, hospitals and restaurants, along with grease interceptors and septic systems.

Since the vegetative, gram-negative cultures in this product produce pungent gases during storage, despite inclusion of "pine forest' fragrance, most clients seeking a liquid product for manual application to drains, toilets, kitchen garbage disposals, and other locations without high temperatures, select ALKEN ENZ-ODOR® 2, for those applications.

CHARACTERISTICS:

 Bacteria count:

 26 million CFU/ml

(98.4 billion CFU/gallon)

 Appearance: Blue-Green, slightly turbid liquid
Odor:  Pungent, "Forest Pine" fragrance added
 pH:  Neutral
Shelf Life: 1 year, if stored between 35 and 86 degrees F (2 and 30 degrees C)

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • Ideal for home, institutional, and commercial applications.
  • Non-toxic, non-corrosive, safe to handle and store, environmentally safe.
  • Complies with USDA classification "C1" applications.
  • Rapid degradation of grease, fats and oils.
  • Cultures can digest phenolic sanitizers and surfactants in wastewater
  • Product cultures produce the following enzymes, as needed: esterase, lipase, protease, amylase, cellulase, xylanase, lecithinase, alpha & beta-galactosidase, phosphoamidase, acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase.
  • Secondary metabolite fatty acids degraded: acetic, butyric, isobutyric, oleic, palmitic, propionic, stearic & valeric
  • Effective over a wide temperature range 38 F to 145 F (3 to 63 C)
  • Effective over a wide pH range (5.5 to 9.0).
  • Cultures grow in either the presence or absence of oxygen.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100 may be conveniently added, manually, or automatically using a chemical metering pump, such as the Mec-O-Matic 2400T peristaltic pump. If the present peristaltic metering pump cannot be adjusted to dispense dosages smaller than 4 fluid ounces, product may be pre-diluted: 1 part product + 3 parts unchlorinated water and stored in a clean storage tank, connected to the metering pump, to allow correct application of product. A larger treatment volume is also less dependent on a follow-up flush of water to deliver treatment all the way to the grease trap, every time it is dispensed. A flush of cool water is recommended to neutralize exceptionally high-temperature dishwasher discharge water, for improved product survival.

Although it is SAFE to apply ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100, via metering pump, to dishwasher discharge water, while also applying ALKEN ENZ-ODOR® 2, manually, to other drains and kitchen garbage disposals, since the preservatives in ALKEN ENZ-ODOR® 2 are fully diluted in wastewater prior to contact with the sensitive gram-negative cultures in ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4100, NEVER MIX THESE TWO PRODUCTS TOGETHER IN A STORAGE PAIL, DRUM OR DISPENSING TANK.

ALKEN CLEAR-FLO® 4103 can be used as a 4X non-formulated concentrate of this product. Addition of "forest pine" fragrance, non-toxic dye and surfactant will be required to copy this formula EXACTLY.
