Dear Jon:
This will inform you of our positive results in field test trials, using Alken Clear-Flo® 1000 at our production facilities in Bonaire, S. A. We seed and qrow out White Shrimp in 10 hectare ponds and are pleased to announce that your products have successfully reduced organic nutrients and algal bloom. Sampling in the treated ponds indicates a larger, healthier crop compared to the untreated control pond. I might note that water pollution in Bonaire Shrimp Farming is an important factor in production, there. Due to high temperatures reached in Bonaire, it is necessary to maintain oxygenation at the saturation point. Alken Clear-Flo® 1000 and Alken Clear-Flo® 1100 nitrifier, in combination, offer an excellent option to reducing organic wastes and ammonias.
I would suggest that this product would be ideal throughout South America and the Caribbean, as well as in other areas where shrimp production is a major industry. The long term savings in producing a healthier, larger harvest should more than offset cost.
Sincerely yours,
Robert J. Valenti, Ph. D.
